“Come with me
And you’ll be
In a world
Of pure imagination.
Take a look
And you'll see
Into your imagination.
We'll begin
With a spin
Traveling in a world
Of my creation...
What you'll see
Will defy explanation."
Return To Pooh Corner
-Kenny Loggins-
While at So Big Preschool, children will expreience a fun-filled, skill building, literacy-based environment where they will identify colors, shapes, and numbers. Children are taught American Sign Language during circle time through stories, music, and fingerplays. The D'Nealian method of printing , as used by Howards Grove Public School system, is taught and seen in all written forms in the classroom. Within thematic lessons, children will build concepts through small & large motor activities, sensory & science exploration, dramatic play, and creative art & crafts projects.
The children will be encouraged to expand their confidence and self-image while building new and trusting relationships with other preschool-aged children and adults as they gently transition from Preschool to Kindergarten in a creatively-motivated environment.
"Children do not care how much you know
until they know how much you care."
What sets our program apart from others is a dedication to strong values of honor and respect. One of our biggest goals is to teach children the value of respect... for adults, their surroundings, and each other. Because we believe that respect must be earned, we model this respect...for children as little people with individual ideas and emotions, for a clean, organized environment that supports the children's growth and development in becoming competent adults, and for change because nothing is great if it becomes stagnant.
We are currently accepting 2 new enrollments for the 2011 - 2012 Preschool Year.
